Holly Jacobson is a firm principal and her practice includes serving as trial counsel in cases involving complex surface water right disputes, groundwater adjudications, writs of mandate, and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). She counsels public and private clients regarding various regulations, proceedings before the State Water Resources Control Board, and provides general advice to agencies and businesses. Prior to joining the firm, Holly served as counsel to individuals and businesses in general litigation on a wide range of disputes in state and federal courts. Such disputes generally included breach of contract, trademark infringement, legal malpractice, and partnership disputes. In addition, she represented clients cited for significant OSHA violations and advised clients on California’s cannabis laws. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Biology from CSU Sacramento and J.D. from the University of Oregon. In law school, Holly chaired the Northwest Water Law Symposium, was a Board Member of the Green Business Initiative, and served as a Board Member of the Eugene Toxics Board. Holly was a Bowerman Fellow an ENR Fellow for the Oceans, Coasts, & Watersheds Project, an OLSPIF Stipend Recipient and contributed to various publications on water and ocean law.
